Heute Morgen fand ich in diesem Blog eine interessante Auflistung von Schriftstellen zu den biblischen Fundamenten der Kirche - leider natürlich nur auf Englisch. Falls in der nächsten Zeit jemand Langeweile verspürt, kann er sich ja ans Übersetzen machen. :breitgrins:

  • THE CHURCH
    Mt 16:18-19 - upon this rock I will build my Church

So wie ich die Liste oben verstehe, sind die Sätze dahinter Interpretationen, nicht die Schriftstellen selbst (zumindest stellenweise).
Diese Interpretation stützt sich darauf, daß die Worte von Mt 7,24 auf Christus zu beziehen sind, vgl. auch
Er sagt nicht: Ich halte ihn für einen weisen Mann, sondern "Er gleicht dem weisen Mann". Er, der gleicht, ist der Mensch. Wem gleicht er? Christus. Christus ist nämlich der weise Mann, der sein Haus, die Kirche, auf Felsen baute, das heißt auf die Festigkeit des Glaubens. Der törichte Mann aber ist der Teufel, der sein Haus, die Gesamtheit der Gottlosen, auf Sand, das heißt die Unbeständigkeit des Unglaubens oder auf fleischlich gesinnte Menschen , baute. Man nennt sie Sand wegen ihrer Unfruchtbarkeit, und weil sie keinen Zusammenhalt haben, sondern durch verschiedene Ansichten gespalten, und unzählbar sind. […] Wie die Kirche, von Christus erbaut, nicht zerstört werden kann, so kann einen Christen, der sich auf Christus gegründet hat, kein Unglück entwurzeln - wie auch der Apostel sagt: "Wer kann uns scheiden von der Liebe Christi" (Röm 8, 35). Dem Teufel aber ist ähnlich, wer die Worte Christi hört und nicht danach handelt.
